I started making botanical casts in 2020 and in 2021 began to sell them. Walking and gardening are so important to me and casting enables me to preserve the natural beauty of the flowers and foliage that I see whilst I am out. The plants are pressed into clay and then removed to form a mould which is filled with plaster of Paris. The size and shape of the casts is determined by the plants I am working with. Some of my casts are framed in reclaimed wood.
