Louise Edwards

Louise is a printmaker specialising in lino print. Usually reduction printmaking. Louise takes her inspiration from her strong connection with her home and local area in the Staffordshire Moorlands and The Peak District, choosing to focus on the flora and bird life but not restricted to this. Her style is one of colourful, stylized but recognisable images, always based on a moment, or a story from her life in and around Red Cottage.
Printmaking still remains a completely magical process for Louise, turning her ideas from a thread of inspiration to a beautiful, colourful whirl of ink via a long thought through plan and the skills required to execute the final piece.
