Cheryl Porter
I trained as an illustrator at Leeds Polytechnic in the late 1970s and worked for a while as an in-house designer/illustrator for a printing company. I currently work in a Junior School where I get very involved in the art curriculum. I have had more time recently to rediscover my creative self. I enjoy exploring the possibilities of mixed media , especially acrylic paint with collaged elements. My inspirations are fragments of line and form found in the world around us, and I am also fascinated by interactions between humanoid forms. My work is usually abstract or semi-abstract.
