David has his studio in the Peak District in Whatstandwell. Spontaneity and chaos are crucial
elements that gradually evolve into a final piece of artwork that reflects a moment in time or an idea. The work delves into the subconscious, but is also heavily influenced by local surroundings and personal emotions. Building up layers of acrylic or oil paint and texture before creating windows to what is underneath. David has been a leading member of the Art Stand Group based around Crich and exhibits regularly in exhibitions and art shows around Derbyshire.
