I create images using hand torn paper collage, with a defined tactile, textural and impressionistic style. My pictures are mixed media, using paper collage and acrylics. I have always been fascinated by complex pattern and texture, tone and colour and find the use of torn or cut magazine images a perfect way to interpret the atmosphere of a scene. Much of my work has been inspired by the local Derbyshire landscape as well as from places across Europe which have caught my imagination. More recently I have been working on a series of angel themed pictures and portraits of people.
