Hothouse Ceramics

Lesley creates porcelain wall art, decorative hand built vessels and distinctive jewellery inspired by the fauna and flora of the British countryside. The landscapes and images are hand drawn with texture into the soft porcelain, then a combination of wax resist, oxide and crackle glaze are selectively applied to the different areas of the piece to give contrast and definition.
Terry creates a range of decorative and functional ceramics inspired by the colours, textures and ever-changing moods of the Derbyshire landscape. Intense and vibrant colour is introduced through the use of multicoloured layered glazes, these flow and intermingle making each piece individual.
