Julie Leggett

Julie is a mixed media artist working with collage, paint, and textiles. Julie uses her hand stitching and her free style machine embroidery techniques to create a range of individual art pieces. Her collage work incorporates both paint and paper, using found and made papers to add to her unique pieces.
Creating paintings in all mediums, with acrylic paint being her most favourite, Julie’s work is colourful and vibrant, and her work evolves around nature, history, still life and interiors of buildings. She especially likes to create work from her own surroundings at home.
Julie is a member of a stitch group called ‘Untangled Threads’ in Scarborough, where she has opportunities to exhibit on a regular basis. She also subscribes to a Stitch club – Textileartists.org and is a member of ‘The Derbyshire Makers’ Group.
