Valerie Dalling

I am a visual artist based in the Peak District, mainly working with photography, digital art, drawing and painting, all inspired by the play of light, colour, shape and texture of the landscape. Because I like to keep an open mind when working, my art does tend to be quite varied, so when I’m not experimenting in my studio, I can usually be found near water, rocks and trees, giving me plenty of scope to work with in our beautiful National Park.
Community engagement is also important to me, by encouraging others to enjoy photography for their health and wellbeing. I offer a relaxed approach through my workshops, using the phone camera and sensory perception as a means to relax and appreciate the landscape at a much more steadily pace.
