About the Artist
Caroline Wright started making botanical casts in 2020 and began selling them in 2021. Casting enables her to preserve the natural beauty of the flowers and foliage as the plants are pressed into clay and then removed to form a mold, which is filled with plaster of Paris. The details revealed in these casts portray the natural, sometimes unseen, beauty of plants, showing people things they haven’t seen before in a lasting way.The size and shape of the pieces are determined by the plants themselves adding to their organic beauty.
